When you buy an item from the iTunes Store, the amount of time it takes to download your purchase will vary according to the file’s size and your Internet connection speed. A broadband connection is highly recommended for making music purchases and required for making video purchases or rentals. For reference, here are some examples of download times for various media types.

When you buy a song, video, iPod Game, or album from the iTunes Store, you are entitled to download it only once. Note: Some content types are not available in some iTunes Store countries.

The iTunes Store features a purchase option called “iTunes Allowance.” An iTunes Allowance allows you to send a monthly iTunes Store credit to a family member, friend, or colleague in an amount from $10 USD to $50 USD. iTunes Allowance is a form of store credit. Each month, your chosen amount will be automatically added to your recipient’s iTunes Store account. The full allowance amount will be charged to your credit card on the first of each month (you aren’t charged based on your recipient’s usage). Unused allowance credit rolls over from month to month until the recipient spends it.

The code may be illegible, or when redeemed, an alert message stating that the code is “inactive” or “invalid” may be displayed.

Apple on Friday released iPhone 3.0.1, which fixes the SMS vulnerability demonstrated by security researchers earlier this week.
