How to Create CD Covers from iTunes

This is just a quick tip that is very easy and really cool – which takes literally only a few clicks. If you want to make some nice CD insert covers or just print out the listing of songs, iTunes can do it all for you with minimal effort involved. This is especially for those who have just watched my video on burning a CD in iTunes.

Select the playlist which CD cover you want to burn. Then click on File > Print.
File Print Screen

The first option that will come up will be to print a CD Jewel Case Insert.
Jewel Case Insert
This option will print out plain text on a colored background.

If you want a different insert, you can click on the drop down menu and check out the different options. Below is the next (and best) option – the mosaic.
Mosaic
This option is a mixture of all the album covers in the playlist, and it is much better looking that just a plain text insert.
Here is a blown up version taken from Preview:

Another option is the white mosaic, which is the same as the last but the section with the text has a white background.

The next option is for a single cover. This is more for albums not for playlists. If you do use it for a playlist, it will use the selected songs artwork as the cover and the back cover.
The next four options are all in black and white for those of us with Laserjet printers. The first is the text only option which is the same as the first. the second is a black and white version of the white mosaic. This is just a listing of the songs on the CD printed out in black and white. The last option for Jewel Case Inserts is a full front to back listing of songs on the playlist.

The next group of options are to be able to print off the listings of songs. This will print off a list much like what you see in your library window. Below is an example.
Song Listing

The next example that prints off the song listings is by user rating. This one prints off in landscape orientation and is pretty much self explanitory – the example is below.
Song Ratings
The last two options in this set are by dates played and custom. Like I said before, it pretty much prints off whatever you have on the screen. Fool around with it and you will see for yourself what you are able to print.

The last set is album listing. The first prints off the album covers which is exactly like the listing options in the library that sort by album. The second, which is shown below prints off only the album listing, shows the artist, gives you the time and number of songs, but not the names of the songs.
Album listing

Well that about sums it up – sorry if there were a ton of pictures! But I wanted to just show it to you before you go into iTunes and check it all out for yourself. So go take a look and see how easy it is. Hope you like the CD covers and make sure to show it off to your friends.
