Digg!

Have you ever wanted to keep certain files secure on your computer? Or have you ever wondered how you could password protect some folders in your Mac?

Well today we have a simple solution for you. Forget about protected folders. We are going to talk about password protected disk images.

We are going to show you how to create an encrypted and password protected disk image that you can use to save any kind of file that you do not want anyone to have access to; or better we are going to show you how to keep snoops from getting into your files on Mac OS X.

Now the beauty of this is that you can store this disk image in your USB key or move it around from computer to computer and no one will be able to open it unless they have the correct password.

So let’s get started…….

Well you can’t open or use a DMG (Disk Image) file on Windows. But store it on your USB Drive will not prevent you from using your USB Drive on windows…

Wow, excellent tutorial: so simple but all you need to know. I’m very impressed.

However, the video didn’t work in my firefox, but with IE it’s OK.

I shall now explore the rest of this great site. Thanks for helping out us MAC newbies :)
