How to Use Activity Monitor to Monitor the Performance of your Mac

Have you ever wondered what is going on in the back end of your computer? Or maybe time to time your system becomes slow or feels heavy and you wonder why? Here the first step you need to take in order to check the performance of your mac.

Launch the Activity Monitor application located under /Applications/Utilities. This is the application of choice on Mac OS X to find out the different processes running on your system and to see how your CPU, memory, and hard drive are currently being utilized.

The following video describes how you can use the Activity Monitor to access the performance data of your Mac.
