iPhone: Troubleshooting voicemail issues

If you are unable to access or set up voicemail for the first time, or after updating to iPhone 2.0 software or later, and encounter one of the following symptoms: – Tapping Phone > Voicemail displays the following screen: or – Tapping and holding ‘1′ for more than 2 seconds on Phone > Keypad does not contact your voicemail.
