Photoshop copies Aperture

There are a lot of great enhancements to Photoshop CS 3 that make it much more easy to use and navigate. However not only many of the new features of Photoshop CS 3 already existed in Aperture, but also some of them feel like a carbon copy of Aperture.

For instance the magnifying preview zoom tool that photoshop brought to Bridge 2.0 is exactly what has been in Apple Aperture photo editing software for a while now. Check these pictures to see the comparison (Click on a picture to enlarge it)

Actually, this type of zoom tool is VERY much like the Loupe tool introduced in Adobe Acrobat 6 aproximately 4 years ago.

Who’s copying who now?

Robert, being with adobe it is normal that you defent Photoshop. But if the loupe tool was the same and so useful in adobe acrobat, then it would have found its way to Photoshop earlier don’t you think?

Obviously Aperture is the first to bring it well integrated into a digital photography platform…

And if one’s intuition is keen enough, they will notice that CS3 also utilizes the mouse, just like Aperture!

The web of merciless, meticulous thievery grows thicker by the second.

Aperture copied Adobe which in turn copied Aperture. I think that’s that in this case
