iTunes* offers a way to back up your iTunes library, playlists, and iTunes Store purchases (including Applications purchased from the App Store) for safekeeping. The Back Up to Disc feature saves your media to a blank disc (CD or DVD) and once backed up, iTunes can use your backup disc (or discs) to automatically restore your iTunes library.  To reduce the number of discs needed for a backup, iTunes can perform incremental backups (only items added or changed since the last backup). * Refer to this article you have iTunes 5 or 6.

You may occasionally receive an error message about disk space when you are using your MobileMe account – for example, when trying to copy files to your iDisk you might see: “The operation cannot be completed because the disk is full.” When using MobileMe Sync you might see: “MobileMe Sync Error: Unable to complete sync. Your iDisk is almost full.” When using iWeb to publish to MobileMe, you might see: “Publish Error: Your iDisk is full.” When using Backup to back up to your iDisk, you might see: “Backup failed: There is not enough free space at the destination for the backup.” In some cases, you may receive different errors than those mentioned above.
