26 Jun 2009The Mac OS X Server v10.5 User Management Guide describes the behavior of a Guest Computer as: If an unknown computer (one that doesn’t have a computer account) connects to your network and attempts to access services, that computer is treated as a guest computer. Settings for the guest computer account apply to these unknown computers. (page 107)

25 Jun 2009When connecting to a new computer via Back to My Mac, sometimes you may initially connect as a Guest instead of as an authenticated user (yourmembername@mac.com) on the remote computer. This has occurred if the remote computer is labeled with “Connected as: Guest” in the Finder.
The outside of the box said "Windows base machine or better", so I bought a Mac.
