As promised, Google has introduced a native YouTube app for iPhone. We had previously reported that Apple will be removing the dedicated YouTube app from iOS 6 which is due to be released in the near future. At the time, Google promised that a native iOS app was in the works. YouTube had previously been one of the built-in iOS apps since the original iPhone launch

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal , the next iPhone — to be announced next week — will support 4G LTE networks around the world , though it won’t be available on every carrier. Apple Inc.’s next iPhone will work on the fastest wireless networks around the world—including in the U.S., Europe and Asia—though it is unlikely to be available on every carrier, people familiar with the matter said.

Bloomberg reports that Apple will not be releasing a new “TV product” this year as difficult negotiations with media companies have slowed Apple’s plans. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that Apple is working a new set-top box offering access to live and on-demand television content, but a timeframe for a release of the product was not given at that time. Apple has also been said to be working on its own television set, but apparently neither product will be making an appearance in the relatively near future. Following last month’s report that Apple and Google were heading up separate consortiums bidding to obtain Kodak’s portfolio of digital imaging patents, The Wall Street Journal now reports that the two camps may surprisingly be joining the same team. The negotiations are reportedly seeing Apple joining forces with its courtroom foes Samsung and HTC, as well as smartphone platform rival Google, in an effort to obtain the patents for a price well below that sought by Kodak. The bidding group brings together a raft of strange bedfellows. It includes Apple Inc. and Google Inc., fierce competitors in the global smartphone market.

Following up on its story from yesterday about a possible forthcoming Apple set-top television box , the The Wall Street Journal had more details to share today. Apple wants to make it so viewers can watch any show at any time via a cloud-based DVR that would store TV shows online.
