17 Mar 2010Some file scanning software products that are not made by Apple, such as the Sony VAIO Entertainment Platform, may damage your iTunes library. If the library becomes damaged, iTunes may create a new, empty library. Although the library appears empty, the media files should still be in their original locations. 23 Feb 2010When you attempt to connect to the Internet, you may see alert messages such as: “The server could not be found.” “The specified server could not be found.” “A connection failure has occurred.” “Connection attempt failed.” “Name servers not responding.” Despite the alert, some Internet (TCP/IP) applications may function normally. Tip: In Mac OS X v10.4 or later, you can click the “Assist me” button in the Network preference pane, then follow the onscreen prompts for network diagnostics.

16 Feb 2010When attempting to connect iPhone or iPod touch, you may see one or more of the following error messages: iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065) iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800000a) iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800006b) iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001) Alternatively, the error may be the same as above but end with a different number. The following steps may resolve the issue.

21 Dec 2009You may encounter the following symptoms while updating or restoring your iPhone or iPod touch: iPhone or iPod touch continually restarts but never displays the Home screen. An update or restore did not complete and the device is no longer recognized in iTunes. iPhone or iPod touch stops responding, showing the Apple logo with no progress bar or a stopped progress bar, for over ten minutes
